2019-2020 SSD Parent Engagement Sessions
Louisiana's Special School District (SSD) will be hosting a first round of parent engagement and informational sessions throughout the state to support parents, guardians, and families of all LSD, LSVI, and other Special School Program sites. Understanding that many parents live up to several hours away from our main district campus, we feel that bringing these opportunities to the communities will best serve families. Please complete this registration form to attend the closest event to you geographically. If you do not see a location that is within a reasonable distance, please contact SSD Communications Coordinator, Azadeh Yazdi, for other available options.

2019-2020 SSD Pupil Progression Plan
A copy of the Pupil Progression Plan (PPP) is now available for your review. The PPP is a comprehensive plan, required by Louisiana state law for all school systems, that provides academic assessment, placement, and promotion goals and objectives that are compatible with state standards approved by the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE). Over the last several months, a committee of principals, parents, teachers, academic officers, and administrators from across the district met to discuss and develop the 2019-2020 district PPP to submit to the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE).

As you review the document, please note that the Special School District’s policy is located only inside the boxed spaces of the document, in accordance with the LDOE and state guidelines provided in the areas outside the boxed spaces.

If you would like to provide feedback on the PPP, please complete this survey by July 19. For questions or issues completing this form, please email
